The PG Tips commercials with the chimps are world famous. Even though they only appeared in Britain starting in the 50s, people across the world have seen the commercials. The PG Tips chimp ads are in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running advertising campaign. But, do you know when the first ad appeared?
The PG Tips chimps ads began in 1956. The first commercial was called “Stately Home.” It featured the chimps at a upper-class tea party with many of the people having bad manners.
