Here is a classic Christmas ad from PG Tips.  According to the description of the ad, the audio is from 1989 while the video is a lot older. We will attempt to find out more.

One of the chimps from the famous PG Tips commercials died in a English Zoo.  Jilloch the chimp died at the Twycross Zoo (outside Birmingham) in England. She was 34 years old.

Jilloch was part of the PG Tips Tea commercials, which are in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running ad campaign in the UK. The commercials aired from 1956 to 2002.

Liz Cubberly, the Zookeeper for African Apes at Twycross Zoo said, “Jilloch was a friendly chimp, very quiet and easy-going and loved by all the chimps, visitors and especially the animal care team who she was surrounded by when she passed away.”

By now, you know we think the PG Tips Monkey is the greatest tea ad figure ever. Monkey is genius.   Do you know who voices Monkey?

Monkey is voiced by English comedian Ben Miller.
