As you know, the PG Tips chimps commercials are world-famous and in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest-running advertising campaign.

Peter Sellers was the narrator of the first PG Tips chimp commercial, dubbed “Stately Home,” which aired in 1956.

If you are a fan of PG Tips, you may have heard of Mr. Shifter? But who is Mr. Shifter?

PG Tips has the record for the longest-running single advertising campaign the UK. The ads featured the famous chimps, called the Tipps Family. Mr. Shifter was one of the chimps in the campaign.

Is the name PG Tips Tea or Brooke Bond PG Tips?

Many long time drinkers refer to it as Brooke Bond PG Tips.  But, is that the right name?

Brooke Bond was the company that produced PG Tips back in in the 1930s in England.   Brooke Bond was the name of the tea shop opened byArthur Brooke, who created PG Tips, one of the first brands of tea in the UK.   But, PG Tips has been owned by Unilever UK since 1984.  Below is a picture of the store and of Arthur Brooke.
